World-class birdwatching
Right on Myalla's doorstep
Capertee Valley is recognised as one of the world’s top 50 birdwatching destinations and Myalla Homestead is nestled within the heart of this extraordinary landscape.
Capertee Valley is the world’s second biggest canyon, ringed by sheer sandstone bluffs which feels both vast and intimate.
This unique environment is home to 242 species of birds, many rare and endangered like the Regent Honeyeater.
More common birds you might see are the majestic Wedge-tailed Eagle and the vivid King Parrot to name just a couple.
Australian wildlife is also abundant on the ground; wallabies, kangaroos, wombats and echidnas are common sightings.
The Capertee Valley is a thriving natural environment on and above the ground.
Myalla Homestead is deeply connected to this place. Framed by this beautiful natural setting, Myalla combines the raw beauty of the Australian bush with the warmth, character and understated luxury of a truly memorable homestead.
